Evans’ work has multiple references to the figure and to physical processes. It expresses a tension between constraint and release. She uses materials as varied as latex fabric, sand, hydrostone, foam sealant, cast-off pieces of building materials, household objects, pipes and wires. Evans received a B.A. from Hampshire College and an M.F.A. from Boston University.
