Haines attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts after studying anthropology and psychology at the University of Colorado and earning a degree from the Harvard Business School. He works in bronze cast from wax models, making pieces ranging from palm-sized to over 6 feet tall.The artist's sources include animal and figurative forms and the shapes of ancient tools and ceremonial objects.
