Niho Kozuru comes from a family of artists who have been making ceramics in Fukuoka, Japan, for five generations. Through her use of architectural elements, Kozuru reconfigures original forms such as turned-wood finials, and spindles that are commonly found in New England. Kozuru's current work in cast rubber shares many of the optical qualities of glass, a material she has worked with extensively in the past.
