"Contrary to the accepted myth, most artists don't really function well in isolation. My exhibition, Greater Than, was kick-started by some repurposed materials that other artists gave me. Susan Lyman (a BSG sculptor) gave me felted wool remnants. Pat Shannon (artist and former BSG member) gave me a faded red inner tube. Sophie Truong (artist-owner Stitch &Tickle) gave me leather scraps. These materials sparked my imagination and are all featured in the wall drawing, Greater Than, and other works in the show. Artist friends gave me critiques, encouragement and physical help. Too many to thank here, but they know who they are. I couldn't have done this without you!"
