While figurative
in nature, Wilcox's work moves beyond the human form in both
scale and intent. Working with wire screen, resin, concrete
and found objects, the artist fabricates clothing-like shapes
emphasizing the absence of the figure while, often humorously,
commenting on social interactions. Wilcox attended the Museum
School of Fine Arts on a scholarship, and is a member of the
Reclamation Artists and a frequent contributor to the Boston's
First Night festivities.
