“My installation, ‘Interference’, currently on view at the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Barnstable, MA, features oversized, colorful, and interconnected shapes emerging from the museum’s lobby, popping out of hearths, tumbling down stairwells and playfully encompassing the Museum’s interactive family room. Responding to the building’s unique architectural features, my work twists, turns, spins, and leaps while exploring the line between sculpture and painting. This show will be up through Dec. 22.
In the studio, I am preparing for an exhibition in March 2021 at the Brattleboro Art Museum called On Reflection.Moving sculptural forms constructed of reflective lightweight plastic will play off of one another creating an immersive experience that is both transporting and provocative. Suspended from the ceiling and walls, On Reflection’s elements will be constantly, quietly moving, as is the viewer, around and through the sculptures, a meditation on change.”
